In Part I of the article on top 10 engineering entrance exams of India 2015, we spoke about popular entrance tests such as JEE Main, JEE Advanced, EAMCET, AP EAMCET, VITEEE, UPSEE and BITSAT.
Taking the baton forward, in this article we will be talking about some other popular engineering entrance tests such as SRMJEEE, KCET, KEAM, WBJEE and RPET which are known to receive 1.63 lakh, 1.50 lakh, 1.19 lakh, 1.10 lakh and 48,787 applications (in 2014) respectively.
However, engineering aspirants can even consider giving some other popular entrance exams to secure a BE/BTech degree. You can find the details of these entrance exams towards the end of this article.
SRMJEEE
Sri Ramaswamy Memorial University Joint Engineering Entrance Examination (SRMJEEE 2015) is conducted by Sri Ramaswamy Memorial (SRM) University to offer admissions to students in BTech programmes offered by the university.
Aspirants can give SRMJEEE as a computer based test (CBT) or as a pen-paper based test as per their convenience. SRMJEEE 2015 will comprise of 140 multiple choice questions which candidates have to attempt in 2 hours and thirty minutes.

KCET
Karnataka Common Entrance Test 2015 (KCET 2015) is conducted by Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) to offer admissions to aspirants in UG and professional programmes offered in colleges in Karnataka.
KCET is held on two separate days wherein candidates need to appear for the entrance test for Biology and Mathematics on Day-1 followed by Physics and Chemistry test which is held on Day-2. Candidates need to attempt 60 questions in the test held for each subject within duration of 80 minutes.

KEAM
Kerala Engineering, Architecture and Medical Entrance Exam 2015 (KEAM 2015) is conducted by the office of the Commissioner for Entrance Exams (CEE) to offer admissions into degree courses provided at professional colleges located in Kerala.
KEAM comprises of two tests which are – Paper 1 and Paper 2. Paper 1 has questions from Physics and Chemistry while Paper 2 consists of questions from Mathematics. In each paper in KEAM 2015, candidates will have to attempt 120 questions in 150 minutes duration.

WBJEE
West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) is the conducting authority for West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination 2015 (WBJEE 2015). On the basis of their score/rank in WBJEE 2015, aspirants can secure admissions into UG programmes on offer at Government Colleges, Universities as well as Self-Financed Institutes in the state of West Bengal.
WBJEE exam pattern is such that aspirants need to attempt multiple choice format questions in subjects such as Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.

RPET
Rajasthan Pre-Engineering Test 2015 (RPET 2015) is conducted by the Board of Technical Education, Rajasthan to offer admissions to aspirants in UG programmes in Rajasthan.
RPET comprises of 120 objective type questions which candidates need to attempt in three hours duration.
